Mid-Life Upgrade modernisation programme extending the operational life of MEKO 200 frigates by 15–20 years.
Upgrades focus on replacing aging combat management systems, radars, electronic warfare suites and platform mechanical systems — keeping the vessels combat-capable well into the 2040s. The challenge is integrating legacy and new combat systems while addressing obsolescence, platform limitations and strict onboard space constraints. MLUs serve as a highly cost-effective, faster and lower-risk solution to system obsolescence.
Scope of Work
Coordinated and supervised multiple critical mechanical and marine systems refurbishment activities, including:
- Engineering and feasibility studies
- Combat system integration technical support
- Platform modification studies
- Testing and commissioning support
Our Approach
HYDRUS contributes across engineering and feasibility studies, technical support for combat system integration and platform modifications, and support throughout testing and commissioning activities — modernising existing naval assets and strengthening fleet readiness.
