Comprehensive 3D Production Model for a ~55 m Open-Type Double-End RoPax Ferry — structural, piping and steel outfitting design integrated for shipyard fabrication.


Built using AVEVA Marine and AVEVA E3D for client/operator ACTV, with construction at New Hellenic Shipyards S.A. under Spanopoulos Group. The project focused on production efficiency through a highly coordinated digital production model — emphasising multidisciplinary design coordination, structural weight optimisation, and support for modular construction methodologies.

Scope of Work

Coordinated and supervised multiple critical mechanical and marine systems refurbishment activities, including:

  • Full 3D production model — structural, piping, steel outfitting
  • Production-ready documentation for fabrication & assembly
  • Multidisciplinary design coordination
  • Structural weight optimisation
  • Modular construction support
  • Continuous shipyard coordination

Our Approach

HYDRUS delivered the full production design development — structural engineering, piping integration, steel outfitting and detailed 3D modelling — using AVEVA Marine and AVEVA E3D. Scope included production-ready documentation and continuous coordination with the shipyard to support fabrication and assembly activities.
