Decarbonising the Greek Comprehensive Ports — Shore Side Electricity across Greek TEN-T ports under the Connecting Europe Facilities framework.
Challenge
Compliance with Fit-for-55 and FuelEU requirements for vessels connected to the shore grid while at berth — and harmonisation between vessels and ports specifications.
HYDRUS Role
Main engineering partner — handling all technical activities related to the interfacing between ports and vessels, including Cable Management System (CMS), power requirements and vessel-required AMP retrofits.
Project Focus
Cable Management System specifications, vessels' power requirements examination, dimensioning of electrical components, and compliance between different calling vessels at the same berth.
Why It Matters
More ports and vessels are moving to implement SSE for FuelEU compliance — the critical aspect is interoperability of the proposed solutions across different ports and vessel types.
